Bonfire Societies Firework Championships

2016 saw the first Bonfire Societies Firework Championships.

The first competition was run at Firle Place. The three competing societies were Robertsbridge, Firle and South Street. All put on fantastic displays to battle it out to be crowned the first champion. While the votes were counted from the text vote Phoenix Fireworks put on a demonstration display, before Robertsbridge were announced as the winners.

Sadly, the 2017 competition had to be postponed but it is back again in 2018 at a new venue. The 2018 competition was held at Wiston Park, West Sussex. Battel Bonfire Boyes, Nevill Juvenile Bonfire Society and Lewes Borough Bonfire Society competed and Battel Bonfire Boyes were crowed the winners.

2019 sees the return of the competition at Wiston Park on 11th August and three new competitors will battle it out to be crowned the 2019 winners! The 2019 competing societies are Cliffe Bonfire Society, Hastings Borough Bonfire Society and Hawkhurst Gang Bonfire Society.
